All seeds, whether internally produced or imported, undergo rigorous quality checks and testing before reaching the hands of the farmers. Kisan Botanix Ltd. strives to be a trusted supplier to the farmers through its tissue culture laboratory, net house and open production facilities, access to reliable cold storages and root level distribution network.

2009 to 2011
  • In 2009, KBL established its own tissue culture laboratory in Dhaka

2012 to 2014
  • In 2012, KBL initiated field production in the North Bengal region using potato plantlets.
  • The organization engaged numerous farmers in a contract farming process.
  • Farmers received training on the importance of using quality seeds.
  • KBL achieved success in producing disease free top-quality seeds.
  • Farmers expressed great satisfaction in partnering with Kisan Botanix Ltd.
  • From 2012 to 2014, KBL supplied high-quality Breeder, Foundation, and Certified seeds.
  • Target regions for seed distribution included Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Bogura, and Munshiganj.
2015 to 2016
  • In 2015, KBL expanded its operations to the South Bengal region of Bangladesh, including Bhola, Potuakhali, and Borguna.
  • Farmers in these areas were initially uninterested in potato production due to the salinity of the soil.
  • KBL provided training to farmers, enabling them to cultivate potatoes in such challenging environments.
  • KBL supplied them tissue cultured disease free quality seeds to farmers in the region.
  • As a result, Farmers experienced success in potato production, despite the soil salinity issues.
  • The efforts of KBL and the farmers indicate that South Bengal has the potential to become a significant region for mass potato production in the future.
2017 to 2019
  • In the current year, it was discovered that farmers in Bangladesh were not receiving fair prices for their potato crops, resulting in economic losses.
  • KBL took action by reaching out to international companies in Sri Lanka and the Middle East.
  • The organization initiated the export of potatoes from Bangladesh, providing farmers with better prices for their produce.
  • KBL diversified its activities by starting a Gerbera flower business, offering additional opportunities for farmers.
  • Since 2018, KBL began importing their own variety of seeds called Bellini from the Netherlands to ensure the supply of high-quality seeds.
2020 to 2021
  • KBL prioritizes employee safety and supports farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Implementation of measures such as employee rostering, work from home, and remote quality follow-up.
  • Short awareness training program conducted with farmers to ensure safe practices.
  • Though there was a pandemic crisis moment, but KBL successful supply of quality seeds to farmers.
  • Expansion into new businesses: KBL brought Rose Flower and G9 Banana fruit production.
